Brigid's Cross 54" x 66" lap size supply list:
4 yards of background fabric for blocks and binding (2 1/2” double bias)
1/2 yard of print for arms of the crosses
1/4 yard or fat quarter of print for center of crosses
Backing fabric measuring at least 58” x 70”, which allows 2 inches larger than quilt top.
2 yds of 60” or wider fabric, or 3 1/4 yards of 40” fabric to be cut in half
and pieced horizontally
Batting, same size as backing fabric

90" x 102" Queen size version of Brigid's Cross
6 x 7 blocks plus pieced and plain borders

7 x 8 blocks plus pieced and plain borders

With one change in sewing order, get reverse spinning Brigid's Crosses.
Make 3 x 4 blocks with pieced border for 48 x 60 lap size. No plain
borders for an edge to edge design.

The pieced blocks are all set in the same direction.
3 x 4 blocks set the same direction with plain border is 42 x 54
inches.

Go for a completely randomized look! This 60 x 72 quilt has a row of
blocks all going the same way, the next row turned sideways. Alternate for
each row. Make pieced border for top and bottom and same width plain
border for sides.

Create 4 staggering lines with striped fabric and a dark print. The
pieced blocks are set in the same direction.
3 x 4 blocks set the same direction with the pieced border top and
bottom, same width plain border sides for 48 x 60 lap size.
