Supply list:
50 different prints in lights, mediums and darks
(prints in assorted sweet sixteens, fat eighths, fat quarters, quarter yards or large scraps, in 30’s and 40’s reproductions or choose your own theme for the fabrics)
4 yards (3.7m) of muslin or light color for background blocks and signature squares
1/2 yard (46cm) of fabric for inner border
3 yards (2.75m) of fabric for middle border
1 yard (92cm) of fabric for outer border and binding
3 yards (2.75m) of 108”(2.75m) fabric for backing, or 9 yds(8.25m) of 40-42”(107cm) fabric

Besides the 1930s/40s version used for the quilt pattern, here's a smaller quilt top Scarlett made in 2000 using a cityscape border fabric and featuring machine embroidered designs of some famous international landmarks. The blocks are the same, the appliqued Vice President's Block and pieced Dogtooth Violet, set alternately and made in assorted blue prints.
