Retreat Three Medallion Gallery
This patchwork quilt is simple to piece because it only has
two different patches and both are sewn with straight seams. One patch is a
square and the other patch is a right triangle. Rotary cut them or use the
provided templates.
All the patches are cut from scraps, to use up as
many different fabrics as possible. Sort them by light, dark, medium if not
using a set color theme, such as the red, white and green prints used in the
quilt shown on the cover of the pattern.
There are diagrams in the
pattern for each of the blocks that show how to place your fabrics. While the
sample quilt is double bed size, there are other sizes from baby to king, as
well as diagrams for items such as a table runner and placemats included in the
pattern.
Go completely Modern and just sort your fabrics by light,
dark and medium, without worrying about the colors!
Here are some modern solid color combinations and different quilt sizes to inspire more variations.
