Hand embroidered vest

Back of batik vest with Danu block reverse appliqued on shoulder.

Using Judy Mullen's vest pattern, a Danu block was reverse appliqued on the back of the vest into a blue/green/khaki batik. The Camelot color Danu block was stitched in five colors of Weeks Dye Works pearl cotton thread; Fire, Cypress, Amber, Americana and one multicolor, Confetti.

I offered kits with the Aine design preprinted on my custom background colors, with hand dyed pearl cotton threads by Weeks Dye Works and beads for students to purchase.

#3 - Caer

All of these custom printed blocks are printed on white fabric, with the color filling the entire block except for the stitching lines which show the white fabric. The colors are printed on a basic cotton fabric.

#2 - Danu

All of these custom printed blocks are printed on white fabric, with the color filling the entire block except for the stitching lines which show the white fabric. Some colors are printed on a basic cotton and others are printed on Kona cotton, a slightly heavier weight cotton fabric.
